Halloween Fun!
If you scroll down, you can see our Halloween slide show. We had a lot of fun. Our festivities started Oct. 30. After we finished school we decided to start baking for the party. We made a batch of sugar cookies and 2 eight inch cinnamon swirl cakes. By the time we were done with the baking it was bed time. But, we woke up early on the 31st and got school finished by noon! It was a record! It is amazing how fast the Bug can work when we have something like baking and a Halloween party awaiting! At noon we baked one last cake (chocolate this time) and then put in a movie, at an easy lunch and carved our pumpkins. When the pumpkins were carved just right we headed back to the kitchen to decorate wtih frosting. I LOVE baking and decorating with the girls. We always have SOO much fun!
We finished all the food prep just in time for the party. So, we rushed and got everyone loaded up in the van to make the drive to the Hamline house! Bug was greated by "the four boys" and had to rush to the bathroom to put on her costume so she would match them. She was Lucy Pevensie from The Chronicles of Narnia. Bean was Flounder from The Little Mermaid. They were both just TOO cute for words and I took WAY too many pictures (as you can see on the slide show). At 5:00 the rest of the missionaries from our team arrived and we had our annual fall steak dinner! It was fun to spend the afternoon fellowshiping while the kids were all dressed up and running around having the time of their lives!
We finally got home at 10:30 and the Bean was sacked out! Melisa was still going strong, so we took out our pumpkins and put the burning candle in them to watch them glow until she finally fell asleep! I think this was by far our best Halloween in Korea yet! It's hard to believe next year we will be in America for it!!
If you haven't already, make sure you go and check out the slideshow below. Give it some time to load, there are 58 pictures in it and sometimes it takes a few minutes to load! ENJOY!
