I DID IT!!!
Well, I haven't posted about this yet, but today, I made a MAJOR break through! I have been exercising hard for the past few months. I wanted to get all of the extra baby pounds off before Cali turned one. I had weighed in about 2 weeks ago and was at 128 lbs...3 pounds to go to prepregnancy.
Things have been hectic and busy, and I haven't been able to exercise as much in the past week or so. I was getting really frustrated about it...but every day my clothes seemed to be getting looser and looser. SO, this morning, I decided to step on the scale and see what my inconsistancy had brought about. I couldn't believe my eyes...I am down the last 3 pounds!! I reached my prepregnancy weight at 5 1/2 months post partem! YAY!! I must say I scooped up Cali and did a happy dance!
Now, 5 more pounds to go and I will have reached my goal! Let's just hope they come off as easily as the last ones did! If I can just motivate myself to keep waking up at 5 am to get that exercise time in!

Getting it ALL done...
with TWO kiddos is harder than I thought! What a week it has been. Trying to home school Melisa (first grade takes a LOT more time than kindergarten did), keep Cali entertained, get my prayer work done for the team, go to team meetings and prayer walks, exercise, get quiet time with the Lord, AND keep the house clean is near to impossible.
Of course, it is the house that is going first...the pile of dirty laundry is growing and may take over the house soon! AAUUGGHHHH!!! I have kept the living room clutter free and the kitchen cleaned, but don't venture into our bedroom or the girls bedroom! It is not a pretty sight right now. Clark is such a sweety and has today off for the first time in 6 days and he is going to help me do a GOOD cleaning. Hopefully that will help me get caught back up!
Yesterday we were doing school and I had to say I felt a sense of accomplishment because I actaully got to exercise, do a mini quiet time, finish a WHOLE day of school work, kept Cali smiling the whole time and we ALL 3 ate breakast and lunch! :-) I even put cleaning off AGAIN and when Clark got home we all took a long walk to the grocery store and to get Pizza for dinner.
It is going to take some getting used to, but one of these days I think I may be able to figure out how to get it ALL done with two little oens at home. Until then, I will have to keep looking at my to do list and see what can be put off until tomorrow! :-)

Bitter Sweet
I never realized the true meaning of these words until I became a mom. Now it seems that this is my favorite phrase to describe EVERY THING...bitter sweet. It is SO exciting to see both of my girls growing and changing every day. But at the same time it is SO hard. This mommy must admit that she is having a HARD time watching them grow so fast. I really do wish that I just had a pause button so I could keep them little just a little longer!
The past month has been an exciting one. Melisa has lost two teeth, she has started first grade, started writting in cursive and so much more. Cali has started rolling all over the hosue and is really developing her own personality. She giggles and laughs at the littlest things and she can't wait to get everything she sees in her mouth! I LOVE seeing it happen and I am SO excited when the girls reach a new milestone, but at the same time it just breaks my heart because I know that they are getting bigger and bigger every day! Life with my girls has truly been bitter sweet the past few months!!

All New To Me!!
Hey everyone. This is all new to me. I thought it would be a good place to share my thoughts about life, living overseas, homeschooling, and being a mom and a missionary. I will be posting stories from my girls and cutlure as well as prayer requests from our work and family.
This week has been a crazy one around here. We just finished our 3rd week of schooling (although it was our first complete week of 5 lessons in 5 days). School is off to a good start. But, I must say it is taking some getting used to. Homeschooling a first grader and keeping a 4 month old happy has been a challenge, but we are slowly getting a schedule down. I am still having a hard time believing that Melisa (my first daughter) is already a big first grader! Where has the time gone. It seems like yesterday she was a few months old like Cali (my second daughter). It just doesn't seem right. However, I am looking forward to a good school year.
Clark (my husband) has spent the week getting ready to begin teaching a new English Bible Class at the local University. It has been nice having him home and around the house this week. I am going to miss it when he gets back out in the villages and teaching next week.
We are heart broken and in disbelief over the devestation in the gulf coast! We sit and watch the news and can't believe the images are ones from America. Our hearts go out for the people. Let's join together in praying for all of the victims, the rescue workers, and the military and police forces. Let's keep them lifted up
Well, I guess that is it for today. I need to get moving. It is Satrurday and we are taking the girls out to play. I think we are going to teach Melisa how to play kick ball! :-)
